Instructions

Tools Needed:

  • Phillips Screw Driver

  • Paper Clip

  • Hands

  • Optional: Pliers

Warning: These are metal screws going into plastic parts, it will be very easy to strip the plastic and the body will no longer be able to hold the PCB in. Please be careful when tightening screws, the screws are only there to keep the PCB from moving when being plugged in.

Instructions:

  1. Unscrew the white cap from the black body.

  2. Remove the screw or screws holding down the PCB.

  3. a. Use the paperclip in either hole opposite the USB-C port to lift/pry the PCB out. It is a snug fit.

    b. If it is too snug, bend a tiny ‘J’ in your paperclip, with the pliers, that can fit in either hole opposite of the USB-C port. Use the lip of the J to catch the PCB and pull it out. You just need to get it out in any way possible.

  4. Starting by facing the USB-C port down. Slide it into your new body with the USB-C port going into its cutout first.

  5. Push the whole PCB down into the new body. It is a snug fit.

  6. Put your screw back in the holes that are opposite of the USB-C. (These only go 2mm deep and can easily be stripped, please be careful)

  7. Screw back on the white cap.

  8. Celebrate that you still have all your fingers and did not strip out the screws.

Trouble shooting:

  • Only some of the lights will NOT turn on after the replacement: On some Feedback Tally models, the screw head is too big and can short out the pins next to the light. Just unscrew it a little while still making sure the PCB does not move.
